A 30-year-old man has admitted neglected dogs at a farm near Kelty.
Jay Kenny, 30, of Fruix Road, Kinross, submitted guilty pleas through his solicitor at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between December 1, 2020, and December 20, 2021, at Blairfodel Farm, Kelty, being responsible for a Lurcher type dog name Gus, he caused unnecessary suffering by failing to provide him with sufficient nutrition causing him to become emaciated, and failed to provide him with veterinary treatment for his flea infestation causing him to develop alopecia and also for his dental disease.
He also admitted that between May 1 and December 20, 2021, at Blairfodel Farm, being responsible for lurcher type dogs called Gus, Darkie and Darcy, a Patterdale type dog called Grace and two German Shepherd dogs called Duchess and Shadow, he failed to provide them with a safe and clean environment free from faeces, hazardous material including sharp nails and scrap metal and failed to provide them with adequate shelter and bedding.
Sheriff Francis Gill called for reports and Kenny’s personal appearance in court. Sentencing will take place on July 12.
