A FIFE driver had a costly journey after police spotted the poor condition of their seatbelt.
The belt was examined by officers who issued a fixed penalty notice.
Posting on Road Policing Scotland's Twitter, they stated: "FifeRP officers couldn't believe it when they observed this driver wearing a badly maintained seat belt.
"The purpose of a seat belt is to prevent or reduce injury in a crash. The driver was issued a fixed penalty of £50."
