BUSES will be diverted next week as resurfacing works temporarily close a section of the B920 in Ballingry.

The 31, 31A and the 31B will all divert from Kinglassie via the Woodend, the B981, Jamphlars Road and then onto the B981 in Lochgelly before resuming their normal services on North Street.

Due to these diversions, stops in Ballingry, Lochore, Crosshill and Glencraig will not be served. Passengers heading to and from Ballingry will still be able to connect on the number 19 bus service.

The carriageway resurfacing will see the stretch of road from the Hill Road junction in Ballingry to the junction of the B9097 closed off so that the work can be carried out safely.

Motorists should use alternative routes on the B9097, B981 and B920 while they are being carried out.

Access will remain for residents and the emergency services.

These works will begin on Monday, August 28 from 7.30am and are expected to be completed on Friday, September 8 at 5pm.

Fife Council Roads and Transportation Services are responsible for these works. The project engineer can be contacted by calling 03451 55 55 55 using the extension 444634. For emergency and out of hours call 03451 55 00 99.
