An 80-year-old woman was mugged and dragged to the ground at a cash machine in Cardenden.
Her attacker was Stuart Patterson, 40, who has now been jailed.
He appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
Patterson admitted that on 16th August at Tesco, Station Road, Cardenden, he assaulted the woman by attempting to seize her purse from her hand thereby dragging her to the ground and thereafter forcibly removing the purse from her hand to her injury, robbing her.
Video of the incident captured on CCTV was shown in court.
The pensioner was using an ATM at the supermarket to withdraw cash and as she put the money in her purse, Patterson pounced.

He dragged her to the ground and grabbed the purse from her hand.
Sheriff Charles Macnair jailed Patterson for 28 months.
The victim was in court for the sentencing and said afterwards the incident had been a traumatic experience and has had a big impact on her.
