A SPECIAL Christmas party was held for the user groups of the Corrie Centre, in Cardenden, last Wednesday.

Organised by the Corrie’s management committee, more than 40 people enjoyed the afternoon event.

An excellent three course meal was served by David Penman and his staff.

Also in attendance were local councillors Linda Erskine and Mary Lockhart, with apologies being received from the two other Benarty members of Fife Council, Rosemary Liewald and Lea McLelland.

Entertainment was provided Jim Foster, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the senior citizens.

There was a large free raffle, thanks to donations of prizes from individuals, and the local business community.

Alex Burns, the Corrie Centre management committee chairman, said: "It was the just the second such festive event we have been able to hold since 2019, through the problems caused by the Covid pandemic, and everyone had a great time.

“I would like to thank those who put in a lot of work to make the event happen, and also everyone who donated prizes for the day.”
