A 61-year-old man who made sexual comments to two young boys at a store in Cardenden has been jailed.

Ian Rodger, of Dundonald Park, Dundonald, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to be sentenced for a series of offences he had previously admitted.

On 22nd September 2022, at Station Road, Cardenden, he made inappropriate comments containing sexual innuendo to a male.

On 13th January last year at Tesco Express, Station Road, Cardenden, he made sexual remarks to two boys both aged 13.

On various occasions between 6th and 8th May last year he repeatedly called the 999 service about subjects which were not police matters, such as his hamster was stuck under the floorboards, that he had left a pan containing oil on and he repeatedly swore at the call handler.

Sheriff Garry Sutherland jailed Rodger for eight months.

He was put on a sexual offences protection order for five years and the sex offenders register for seven years.
