A JAILED sex offender from Lochgelly was sentenced to a further three years' imprisonment after preying on two children more than two decades ago.

Kevin Suttie, 46, formerly of Fraser Drive, molested the boys and carried out sex acts on them at houses in Fife while he was still a teenager.

He had denied committing two offences during a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.

But he was found guilty of carrying out indecent conduct towards one boy from the age of 12, between April 1993 and January 1994, at an address in Cowdenbeath.

The court heard that during the child abuse Suttie exposed himself and performed sex acts on the youngster.

He was also convicted of sexually assaulting a second boy, who was aged 13 or 14, at a house in Rosyth, on an occasion between January 1995 and June 1996.

Suttie pulled down the child's lower clothing and carried out a sex act on him and induced the victim to perform a sex act on him.

The father of five abused the boys when he himself was aged between 15 and 18.

A judge told him: "These were serious offences committed against two young and vulnerable children."

Lord Tyre pointed out that he went as far as threatening one victim with violence if he revealed what occurred.

The judge said: "I am in no doubt the only appropriate sentence is a custodial sentence."

Lord Tyre said he took particular account of Suttie's age at the time of the offending against the children.

The judge ordered that his latest prison sentence should be served consecutively to a current jail term he is serving.

Last year Suttie, who has previous convictions for assault, was jailed for eight and a half years for violent abuse which also resulted in him being placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
