Cowdenbeath Civic Week and Children’s Gala are looking for volunteers.
The committee is still looking for a treasurer. As previously reported in the Times, the treasurer needs to be able to maintain and administer the group’s bank account.
Committee member Claire Morgan explained: “Ideally we're looking for someone with a good knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles and practices in order to be able to provide financial reports and to create, maintain and track budgets. Experience of using Excel spreadsheets would be really beneficial.”
Event volunteers are also needed to help out at Cowdenbeath Children’s Gala on Sunday, June 9. Volunteers are needed to help with tasks such as setting up the park, stewarding the parade, assistance with wristband sales, and event closing activities.
Any potential volunteers will also be able to catch the group in person at Lucie-sue Coffee Bar & Gift Boutique (High St, Cowdenbeath) on Saturday, April 13 and Saturday, May 11 between 10-11am for their 'Cuppa & Connect with Cowdenbeath Civic Week' Events.
If anyone would like information about the role of treasurer or helping at the gala, they can message the group on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or email them at Civicweekenquiries@outlook.com .
