THERE was fighting talk in Kelty with a world renowned Shotokan Karate instructor visiting the community centre.
Sensei Velibor Dimitrijevic, from Serbia, is an eighth dan in the martial art and his weekend masterclass was the first time he had taught in Scotland.
A national and European champion, he was hosted by the Kelty Scottish Shotokan Academy – who described his visit as "monumental".
A spokesperson for the academy added: "Testament to the significance of the occasion, the course attracted many visitors from many different countries.
"This was an event that was significantly supported by our local councillor Alex Campbell, Fife Council and Kelty Community Council and it is hoped that it is something that the club can repeat as an annual event."
Sensei Velibor has worked and trained alongside Sensei Kase, who formed the basis of Kase-Ha-Ryu Budo Karate.

Last month's training and teaching course, organised by brothers Ian and Zander Fisher, who are well known in Kelty for their karate training over the years, broadened the knowledge of all who attended.
The sensei added that the centre was "one of the best facilities" he had ever trained in with the staff praised for the smooth running of the event.
