Teenage Ballingry rider Logan Adsley has been crowned champion in the Adult C division of the 2023 Scottish Motocross Championships.

This has been the accumulation of six rounds of races in different parts of Scotland, with 18-year-old Logan picking up the most points to beat his competitors to the top of the podium.

Logan’s mum Kelly said: “We’re so proud of him, he’s had bikes for a long time but he’s only been racing for two years and is already competing at a high level.

"It’s gotten to the point where a lot of the professionals are recognising him at the events, which is amazing to get the respect from his peers.”

Out of the competition's six rounds of races, Logan won three of them.

The final race took place at Clayshant in Stranraer where Logan finished third.

Kelly said: “It was like a bug, once he started competing, he’s just never stopped and it’s something that he’s really really good at.

"He had a presentation for the Aberdeen and District B Class category where he got third, which is amazing as it’s an even higher level. I think the lowest he’s placed this year has been fifth.”

Earlier this year Logan took part in the Arenacross championships in Aberdeen, a big  event in the world of Motocross. He has his sights set on making a return to the event in January and is already in the reserves for it.

Kelly said: “My granddaughter has won some national competitions in England already and she’s only 10. Logan’s aiming to do the same but it requires a lot of travelling. We have a few amazing local sponsors already but we’re looking to get some more to fund it.”
